Born in Bangladesh, I completed my Masters from University of Dhaka before starting my career as a lecturer at Eastern University in Dhaka. I moved to Australia in 2004 as an international student to further my studies. I completed my Masters from University of New South Wales and PhD from University of Sydney, both in the area of Education. I was honored to receive the “Best Research Student Award” from the University of Sydney for my work on assessment and pedagogy in English as Foreign Language (EFL) context.
My research and other work highlighted various issues and solutions relating to the educational system in Bangladesh, and my findings and conclusions were not only part of my thesis, but were also included in a number of research papers published in international journals and presented at local and international conferences.
