Prof. Harmandar Singh
Singh is a publisher of MARKETING magazine read by 35,000 professionals across Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia, www.marketingmagazine.com.my. As a weekly columnist with national newspapers for more than 11 years, he has contributed as a highly respected commentator on marketing and brand communications under his pen-name SLEDGEHAMMER. Among his many achievements, Singh has been the recipient of the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents (4As) Malaysia inaugural Chairman’s Award for making significant landmark contributions to Malaysia’s brand and marketing industry; the Official Malaysia Country representative of the Cannes International Advertising Festival and Spikes Asia; Honorary Advisor to the International Advertising Association Malaysia and the Malaysian Digital Association; the International Advertising Association Malaysia Hall of Fame in 2018; Zonal Director of the Promotion Marketing Awards of Asia (Dragons); and Trustee of MERCY Malaysia UK.
He has served for two years as an Adjunct Professor at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), where he co-authored his Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Social Communications. He now serves in the same capacity at Taylor’s University Lakeside campus. Lastly, Singh is also the author of Rainmaker: Making brands and people famous and furious for three decades.
